Welcome to the official website of Kerry Pitch & Putt

The Kerry Pitch and Putt County Board is comprised of 5 constituent clubs with the County Board and the clubs being members of Pitch and Putt Ireland, the governing body for the sport of Pitch and Putt in Ireland. The 5 member clubs are Castleisland, Deerpark in Killarney, Listowel, Newmarket, and Tralee.

Each of the member clubs are responsible for running their own club competitions and affairs while the County Board oversees all affairs related to Inter-County teams, County events, and Kerry Inter-Club events.

What is Pitch and Putt?

Pitch and Putt is a sport of Irish origin, similar to golf. In Pitch and Putt, the player uses up to three clubs (one of which must be a putter) to get their golf ball into a hole with as few strokes as possible. Each hole consists of a teeing ground and a green that is located no more than 70 metres away. All Kerry courses are comprised of 18 holes and events/competitions in Pitch and Putt usually take place over 18 or 36-hole formats.

Pitch and Putt is generally different to golf in that rounds generally take less time to play, it is generally easy to develop the primary skills, and the cost of entry is significantly lower.
